The summer garden's star is the black-eyed susan. These lovely flowers add a gentle hint of sunlight to the garden, and we plan to replicate that sunshine in our watercolor painting. Along the way, we'll be applying a lot of negative painting techniques while painting from this photo. Look at all the negative shapes in the background. Doesn’t it make you want to get your brushes wet and start painting?
