My favorite watercolor paintings are the ones in which I allow the paint to do its thing. Watercolor has a unique quality when mixed with water, it flows, it moves, it mingles with other colors. Some artists say it has a mind of its own. Some say its unpredictable and hard to control. These qualities are what I love most about watercolor.
Join Lorraine and explore the magical abilities of painting with watercolor in this one day in person workshop.
Do you want to loosen up your painting style?
Painting loose requires the ability to let go of controlling watercolor and allowing the paint to move freely on paper. Loosing control during a painting can be an artists worse nightmare but in this workshop, loosing control is what helps create these dramatic landscapes. What's most impressive about this painting process is the movement of pigment & water and the stunning shapes & designs you will achieve
So, if you are looking for a extremely creative way to paint landscapes and want to renew your love of painting with watercolor join Lorraine for this fascinating workshop.
Flowers are a topic most artists love to paint and in this workshop you will explore a totally new style of creating flowers. Using negative painting combined with the technique of blowing watercolor paint will allow you to paint unrestricted and completely outside the lines.
One Day In Person Workshop Sat March 16 2024 10am-2pm (est)
The Art League Of LI 107 East Deer Park Road Dix Hills, NY 11746
Do you want to loosen up your painting style? Pouring your watercolors may be exactly what you need to try. You will create a painting using only red, yellow & blue which when poured directly on to the paper will give you an amazing array of colors. You’ll find that painting with watercolor doesn’t have to be difficult, it can be a fun & energetic process with lots of flexibility and “play” involved.
All skill levels are welcome No drawing skills required
